#agencylife – a peek into a week in the Vivid studio

Ever wondered what it’s like to work for an agency? Or what your team gets up to during Monday to Friday?

New stuff

This week, our new starters, Caroline and James, are bedding in well. Lots of lunches, coffees and catch up with clients. And James is still nursing his hangover from his first Vivid team night out in Sheffield. The team and their kids saw Spectre at Curzon (if you haven’t been yet, you should).

Talking of cinemas, we’re sending out invitations for our private screening of Star Wars VII – The Force Awakens – in December. If you’re a client, watch out for your email and be sure to reserve your place soon!

Staying motivated – body and soul

We’re busy. And we do our best work when the team comes together. Team building is so important to keep us at the top of our game, but breaking away from our desks is good for the mind and body too. This week, we can-canned the Monday blues with a private dance class from one of the official Strictly Come Dancing instructors. I have video evidence, but am under strict instructions not to share right now. A photograph will have to do, but watch this space.

Late nights are worth it

We’re developing an exciting brand at the moment, and what better way to test our creative with customers themselves. Market research might seem tedious, but it’s the most fascinating part of brand development. I find that user testing is often the first thing to get cut when reviewing budgets, so the opportunity to hold two focus groups this week was so much fun.

We filled The Chimney House in Sheffield and the Engine Rooms in London with small businesses from all industries and at different stages of their journey.

That’s us in a nutshell, until next week that is – who knows what’s in store for us.
