Building Trust for Sheffield International Venues (SIV)
Sheffield International Venues (SIV) is part of Sheffield life for entertainment, wellbeing and sport. From the grandeur of the City Hall to the state-of-the-art facilities at Ponds Forge, these venues have inspired and improved the health of Sheffield communities for over 30 years.
SIV approached Vivid to revitalise their branding and positioning, we began by exploring the perceived value of their status from within the organisation. Our research revealed a lack of understanding about the connection between the venues, the charity running them and the people they served in the local area.
Our response was to adopt their charitable name with a new brand identity as a platform for building confidence, pride and trust. Sheffield City Trust® gave them proud ownership of these landmark venues and it created a strong connection to the community.
The story behind the new logo was simple but genius! It’s an outline of Sheffield.
The shape of the city was simplified to house seven multi-coloured gradients to represent the seven hills of Sheffield, and to reflect the diversity of venues and services offered and the communities it serves.
