Driving Purity with Suiso Power Corporation®

Suiso® Power is a brand driven by innovation and the quest for sustainable solutions.​ They are based in Yokohama, Japan and Stockholm, Sweden.

Suiso’s mission is simple yet powerful:

To accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy future by harnessing the potential of hydrogen fuel cells.

Kieron Loy introduced Vivid to Suiso Power Corporation to deliver against their brief, which was to craft two new global brands, ground up for their hydrogen business and fuel cell technology. The brands needed to command authority in the automotive sector and appeal to OEM vehicle manufactures.

 

We worked with an incredible naming strategy:

  • Suiso® from Japanese is Hydrogen.​
  • Puro® from Latin pūrus is to cleanse, purify.

Suiso – Driving Purity
Inspired by the ancient Chinese and Japanese symbol for ‘water’, the Suiso logo mark also reflects motion and roadways with a subtle nod to transportation. The energy in the colour palette references innovation in hydrogen and green technologies.

Puro – Hydrogen Fuel Cell
This logo epitomises their fuel cell brand. Customised typography integrates blue and green connection points to represent Hydrogen, fuel cells, forward movement and a pure drop of water, reflecting the only emission.

We crafted a compelling branded experience, guidelines, style guide, assets and designed and developed a sector leading website, featuring carefully adapted stock video to tell the Suiso story.
