PHP Backend Developer (Experienced)

As an experienced backend developer who is familiar with agency life, you will be working closely with everyone in the studio, across multiple projects at any one time.
You’ll have proven experience across commercial projects and working as a core team member, be well versed with backend languages including PHP and be comfortable moving from Object Orientated MVC’s to plain vanilla code or extending CMS’s such as WordPress.
The role at its heart is that of a keen problem solver, being considerate of technologies and standards but not afraid to break boundaries.
Must have a portfolio of more than 5 examples. Functional examples are a bonus.
- Extremely proficient in PHP development
- Considerable knowledge of MySQL databases
- Ability or desire to look ahead to newer technologies (REACT, NODE etc)
- Vast experience of different MVC’s and CMS’s (from Laravel and WordPress to Drupal etc)
- Knowledge of Git and Bitbucket beyond the basics – pipelines, integrations and more
- Experience with API development, integration and testing
- Working knowledge of responsive front-end code (HTML, CSS, JS)
- Ability to quickly switch context and manage concurrent projects
- Server management experience

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and external partners
