Henderson’s Relish needs little introduction. Strong, northern and a true Sheffield success story, it’s an iconic brand exported all over the world.

So, Vivid was extremely proud to be commissioned to create a digital presence – an e-commerce website that would help increase sales and only add to the distinct flavour. But this was a delicate balance – clearly part of the local fabric, all work created has to preserve the family values and resonate with fans.

We helped increase Henderson’s international sales with over 2000 items purchased from the shop during the first month online.

Vivid was originally introduced to Henderson’s by our client and mutual friend, Thornbridge Brewery. The local connection was then enhanced further, as we collaborated with an extended member of the Henderson’s family who was working in the design industry, to create the new-look feel of the site.

Henderson’s is a strong brand with a strong heritage. We had to be careful to ensure we kept to a clearly successful formula. That meant a bold, proud site that celebrates the much-loved savoury sauce’s community status. With local recipes, as well as the company’s back story, elevating the brand online.

One of the key features of the new site is an e-commerce function. During lockdown, sales of bottles and branded merchandise such as t-shirts and cookbooks have been vital in helping Henderson’s grow new audiences and reach loyal followers, wherever they are in the world.
