Shorts Accountants are longstanding, mutual clients. By their own reckoning, Shorts’ positioning didn’t reflect their progressive company. So we proactively approached them on how to modernise their 130-year old brand.

They loved our ideas, but the timing wasn’t right. Fast-forward 12 months and they came back with an even tougher brief – “make us look so impressive that other accountancy firms think they can’t compete.”

Always up for a challenge, Vivid began translating this vision. We highlighted their unseen growth with a new look, a new web platform and a suite of new print & digital marketing materials.

Following their full rebrand, Shorts has doubled in size as a company. Leads are up by more than half and organic traffic levels have risen to 163%.

Following intensive brand research, we developed a single proposition that would underpin all of our work for Shorts: Better ideas. Sharper results.

It inspired a visual shift to cleaner, sharper graphics and bolder colours. These allowed their services to differentiate, providing a greater overall confidence and presence.

The new brand has run across all media, from the new website including engaging film, photography and copy content, to print executions, and the development of new service and product brands.

It’s enabled Shorts to position themselves as efficient, innovative, strategic and human – this was important: their clients stick with them, the relationship matters.
